Introducing Oticon Opn™ with Tinnitus SoundSupport™

Have you been putting off getting hearing aids? Or are you a hearing aid wearer who wants to get more from your devices?

Whatever your situation, the new hearing solution from Oticon is something you're going to want to experience for yourself. Embracing the latest advancements in hearing technology, Oticon Opn™ comes in a range of sleek styles and features Tinnitus SoundSupport™ to relieve the symptoms of tinnitus.

Why should you upgrade your hearing aids?

Oticon's Opn hearing aids are sleeker and more discreet than ever. Oticon's Opn™ hearing aids are sleeker and more discreet than ever.

Oticon's Opn™ hearing aids are now available in a range of sophisticated, minimalist designs that offer a snug fit behind the ear as well as a selection of colours that blend well into a range of hair colours.

However, one of the most impressive features of the new Opn™ devices is actually what's inside. If you're one of the 17-20 per cent of the Australian population that suffer from tinnitus1, you may be able to benefit from the Tinnitus SoundSupport™ feature.

The Tinnitus SoundSupport™ function works with the OpenSound Navigator™ to balance tinnitus relief with a detailed, high clarity experience of their soundscape. Wearers can choose from a variety of sound stimuli such as soothing ocean waves, designed to minimise the sound of tinnitus and provide much-needed relief.

You can easily adjust the settings of Tinnitus SoundSupport™ via the Oticon ON app, allowing you to control your hearing aids from your smartphone.

People who experience tinnitus can look forward to relief from Oticon Opn™.

Hearing aids that connect to your other devices

In our hyper-connected world, it's not uncommon to see different devices exchanging information to provide a better user experience. Oticon Opn™ aids are no exception, connecting to Apple iPhone, iPod and iPad so you can stream music straight to your hearing aids – turning them into wireless headphones!

You can also connect your Oticon Opn™ hearing aids to your TV, so that you can enjoy listening to your favourite shows at your preferred volume, played from your hearing aids for a clear, high-definition experience.

Last but not least, you can also direct phone calls to your hearing aids, meaning you can hear the other speaker clearly even in noisy, busy places.

Hearing aids that are easy to use

If you'd prefer not to use your smartphone, or don't own one, you can change settings using the Opn™ remote – a discreet device about the size of a car key. One of the best parts of the Oticon Opn™ is just how easy it is to use. With the Oticon ON application, available for both Apple and Android devices, you can adjust the volume on your hearing aids and switch programmes. You can also check your battery level, as well as using the ingenious 'find my hearing aid' feature to locate misplaced aids.

Hearing aids fast enough to support the brain

Hearing loss limits the amount of information our brain receives, meaning that in noisy situations, it must work harder to sort speech from other sounds. This can result in greater mental strain to recognise different words, and can impair your ability to remember conversations later on. When we hear, our ears are only part of the equation. Our brains take the majority of the strain in intercepting incoming sounds and trying to distinguish background noise from more important sounds such as speech.

Traditional hearing aids aim to isolate one sound at a time, filtering out other surrounding noises. However, this creates a more limited listening experience, especially in social situations where you may want to follow sounds from different directions.

Oticon Opn™ hearing aids help to manage incoming sound, even in complex listening situations.

Oticon Opn™'s new and improved processing chip runs 50 times faster than other hearing aids, enabling it to handle incoming sounds from multiple sources for a richer, more natural soundscape. One of the key tools in achieving this is the OpenSound Navigator™ function, which does a 360 scan of your environment more than 100 times per second.

This, combined with Opn™'s advanced noise removal technology, results in 30 per cent better speech understanding for wearers, as well as 20 per cent less listening fatigue2

The best part? With Oticon Opn™ making it easier to understand speech, you can focus more on what is actually being said, leading to a 20 per cent improvement in conversation recall2
